This documentary collects testimonies from internal Iraqi, Yazidi and Kurdish Syrian refugees, who have been welcomed by the people of the Autonomous Region of Iraqi Kurdistan. This region has a population of 2 million people, and has hosted close to 2 million refugees who have fled the persecution, murder and displacement of the Islamic State (Daesh) in Iraqi territory and the war in Syria. The Iraqi Kurdish people suffered the refuge, and therefore, now welcomes the refugee population, and wondered why the Europe of human rights, from which many of its citizens, were refugees and fled the war, now the closing of the doors to miles of refugees who are successful on their borders, in addition to the wars, misery and poverty, caused in many cases by interests of the countries of the same European Union.

This documentary has been produced by Emigrad @ s Sin Fronteras, and Diversa Comunicación, both Basque organizations, with the support of the General Secretariat for Human Rights, Coexistence and Cooperation of the Basque Government. The Kurdish Syrian refugee Ayaz Miran has participated in this documentary as a collaborator.

This documentary aims to rescue the memory of nearly 300 leaders and human rights defenders murdered in Colombia for their work as human rights defenders, since the peace process began with the former FARC-EP guerrilla and the Colombian government chaired by Juan Manuel Santos, until June 2018. This documentary will serve as an awareness tool for Basque civil society, on the situation of persecution and murders of leaders and defenders of human rights in Colombia in the framework of a peace process, and thereby strengthen the processes of advocacy and international solidarity with leaders and defenders of human rights in Colombia.
